Welcome to the Bihar Early Childhood Care & Education Mission

Building Strong Foundations for Every Child

BECCE mission is to bring quality Early Childhood Education to every district, block, and panchayat of Bihar. Through Bal Vatika Centers, BECCE provide a safe, joyful, and learning-rich environment for children aged 3-6 years, ensuring their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in a holistic way.

BECCE aims not just for "school readiness," but for life readiness, empowering every child to reach their full potential.

To ensure that quality training reaches every corner of the state, BECCE is setting up authorized NTT training branches across Bihar. Students can enroll at any approved center and receive standardized training, assessments, and Degree certification.

The curriculum includes activity-based teaching, storytelling, creativity enhancement, play-way methods, and practical classroom exposure-helping trainees become confident early childhood educators.

Nursery Teacher Training (NTT)

The Bihar Early Childhood Care & Education Mission does not only focus on children's learning. BECCE also prepares the educators who shape their future. BECCE offers a specialized training program called Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), built entirely on child psychology and Early Childhood Education principles.

After completing the NTT program, candidates become eligible to work in Government Anganwadi centers, private play schools, pre-schools, and BECCE registered Bal Vatika centers. This course enables individuals to build a stable, meaningful, and respected teaching career.

Key Features of NTT Training

  • Child Psychology-based curriculum
  • Activity & play-based learning techniques
  • Storytelling & creative teaching methods

  • Communication & soft skills improvement
  • BECCE Degree Certification to get job across National level

ECCE course, where ECCE full form is Early Childhood Care and Education, is dedicated to fostering the comprehensive development of children aged birth to eight years, nurturing their physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and creative skills through a variety of play-based activities and learning experiences. It serves as a cornerstone for establishing a sturdy foundation for lifelong learning and well-being.

Eligibility criteria for ECCE courses vary based on the level of study, such as, for Diploma/Certificate courses, candidates typically need to have completed Class 10 or 12 from a recognized board, and undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees require completion of Class 12 with a minimum percentage, which varies depending on the institution. While entrance exams are not mandatory for all ECCE programs, some colleges may conduct their entrance tests or consider scores from national-level exams like the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUCET) for certain programs.
